These "Nightmare" swords were designed by Modell Design LLC exclusively for EverythingWingChun.com. They are a very limited collector's edition Butterfly Sword featuring multiple grinds on the cutting edge. The two grinds here are a lenticular/convex grind near the tip side-by-side with a hollow/concave grind over the bulk of the cutting edge. The lenticular grind provides more steel to reinforce the tip for stabbing techniques. The handle scales are real Cocobolo wood.

(Wing Chun Butterfly Swords are also known as: Wing Chun Butterfly Knives, Bart Jarm Do, Bot Jaam Dao, Hudiedao, Eight-Slash Swords, 8-Cut Swords, etc)

Handle Material Comments: Cocobolo is an exotic Central American hardwood especially favored for use on gun grips and knives due to its beauty and ability to stand up well to repeated handling and exposure to water. Several years ago international protective trade rules changed making it next to impossible for Modell Design LLC to economically ship more Cocobolo to Forge Master K. Ali so we do not expect to see more BJD with this coveted handle material. Cocobolo is a great handle material, but it is a natural wood that will expand and contract with the environmental conditions so you will feel the steel in and around the handle scales. We recommend keeping the scales coated with mineral oil when not in use to minimize this.
Grip Style: Full handles with an ergonomic belly to fit the hollow of the palm.
