Made for Speed: These v4 2019 Lightweight Flagship Line Wing Chun Butterfly Swords were made for people that prefer to fight fast and value speed. The v4 series is our "Lightweight Combat Swords". These swords start at only 610 grams each* (21.5oz) and feature a new grip texture. We kept the glossy D2 blade and the black canvas micarta handle scales. The swords have full handles.
*Actual weight varies by blade model, as a large chopper will weigh more than a small stabber blade. Some swords are up to 650 grams.
These are true-full-tang weapon-grade swords. The blade is made from Austrian D2 tool steel, and the D-Guard from hot-drop forged AISI 304 stainless steel - one of the toughest steels possible to make D-guard from. The D2 blades have a glossy finish - something you only find on $1500+ swords since the hardened D2 steel is very hard to polish to a glossy state. All swords are made by hand and this series took over 10 months to make.
