Buick Yip - Wing Chun Wooden Quarter Dummy (aka Muk Yan Jong, or Mook Yan Jong)

This quarter dummy (upper body of the dummy and arms) is made to have a low profile and be more affordable. It can be mounted to most walls with relative ease and allows you to train the non-kicking aspects of the wooden dummy form on proper/traditional dummy specs.

The exact dummy is not selectable like it is with the full dummies. These dummies are made from temple pillar or mahogany wood. They are not labeled and cannot be chosen. They are primarily going to be Elm wood after the first 6 are made. After Buick gets feedback on the first 6 he will start to play with wood options.

Trunk Wood: Temple Pillar OR Mahogany Wood
Arms Wood: Marble Wood

Specs:
Trunk Height: 60cm (23.5 inches) Trunk Depth: 11 cm (4.3 inches)
Trunk Width: 22 cm (8.6 inches) approx
Thickness of mounting beam: 4 cm (1.57 inches) (i.e. from the wall to back of the dummy)
Height of mounting beam: 6 cm (2.36 inches)
Length of mounting beam: approx 45.7 cm (~18 inches. The mounting holes are around 16 inches apart to approximately match the stud distance in N. American walls).
Distance from wall to arm tips approx: 11cm + 4cm + ~30cm (arms) = 45cm (17.7 inches)

Mounting:
While the holes might accommodate many N. American walls and stud placements, it won't be exact. We recommend putting up horizontal beams across your studs, and then screwing/bolting the dummy into those beams. Mounting hardware NOT included.
