Broadwell Butterfly Swords - First Made Model (Sub-Hilt BJD Prototype)
Modell Design LLC, Forgemaster K. Ali, and a famous U.S. custom knife maker (who sells his individual knives for thousands of dollars) did a joint project to create these unique Butterfly Swords.
The final product (intended to be five collector grade pair) sells for $1,775, comes with a wood box, sheaths made by his wife and a certificate of authenticity. This is one of the prototypes, not collector grade, has no wood box, no sheaths, and no certificate.
This particular design is extraordinarily difficult to make, which happens when one guy designs something the other fellow has to make!
The blade is made of weapons-grade Bohler D2 Tool Steel. There is rope-style file work under the quillon. The swage is Yagyu style for enhanced bleed-out.
Shipping: These swords are drop-shipped from Model Design, LLC. They are not shipped from the EWC warehouse.
The photos show the actual knives you will be receiving. Every knife is handmade and differs slightly, so we have provided the key measurements.
